Spacemilk is a Single-cell Protein (SCP.) That means not only is Spacemilk a protein powerhouse with better quality and digestibility than whey, it's also the most sustainable source of food on the planet.

Our protein is derived from non-GMO baker's yeast, which is a single-cell organism, hence "single-cell protein." There are a few types of single-cell organisms, and baker's yeast is a fungi, like mushrooms.

Unlike mushrooms, which are complex and fibrous, baker's yeast is ultra simple and humans have used it in food for thousands of years. We've actually evolved together in symbiosis.

However baker's yeast hasn't been a protein source that whole time because Fungi cell material, like in yeast and mushrooms, is hard for us to digest. (That's why you have to fully cook portabello's).

Now, thanks to innovations in food technology, we're actually able to isolate protein from within the cell wall using only electricity and water. No chemicals or solvents, just electrical currents, filtration, and repeated washing.

What remains is an ultra clean, neutral protein that's naturally ideal for the body. It's also allergen-free, has a ph like water, and doesn't bloat or cause discomfort.
